Member of Parliament for Bukomansimbi South Hon. Godfrey Kayemba Solo who previously worked as a manager for artistes Rema Namakula and Chris Evans has pledged to contribute 1000 US Dollars in a drive to see Uganda Cranes participate in the upcoming CHAN tournament.

It should be noted that FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo announced Uganda Cranes’ inability to participate in the forthcoming CHAN tournament citing Ministry of Finance’s failure to provide funds to help Cranes prepare.

Kayemba who is the shadow minister for sports in the Parliament and doubles as a players’ intermediary and a manager has now come out and start the campaign so that Cranes can participate in the tournament.

”Since football tournaments help our players to get exposure and later jobs. Am contributing 1000usd for our uganda cranes in the chan tournament Algeria. Let the drive begin,” Kayemba tweeted.

The CHAN tournament will be held in Algeria starting from the 13th of January and Uganda is in group B alongside DR Congo, Ivory Coast and Senegal.
