Rising Star Liz Cied accuses Vivian Tendo of stealing her song

Uganda’s female rising star Businge Elizabeth aka Liz Cied has accused established singer Vivian Tendo of stealing her Simuta hit song. According to Cied, she originally recorded the SIMUTA song on the 26th of March 2022 and released it officially on 1st June 2022. However, singer Vivian Tendo claims that she bought the song in April 2022 and released it recently on the 4th of February 2023.

While speaking to Sabula Ug, Liz Cied noted that Vivian Tendo claims to have bought the song from Twesigye Trevor aka Ghud Trevor. However, it’s the same person [Ghud Trevor] who made a the first Tiktok challenge for her Simuta song.

“My name is Businge Elizabeth musically known as liz Cied
I have an issue , faded artist Vivian Tendo stole my song called simuta. I originally recorded the song on 26th March and released it on 1St June 2022 but she claims she that she bought the song in April 2022 and she currently released on 4February. She claims to have bought the song from Twesigye Trevor who is known as Ghud Trevor but the same person made a tiktok challenge for my song,” Liz Cied said.
