Swangz Avenue artist Priscilla Zawedde alias Azawi claims that she doesn’t know anything about the Uganda National Musician Federation ( UNMF).
Musicians recently formed a new group called Uganda National Musician Federation ( UNMF) which is aimed at bringing them together and fostering unity in the industry.
However, some musicians have distanced themselves from the federation claiming that it is a group of self-centered individuals who are only targeting individual gains.
According to the Slow Dancing hit maker, she was not invited and lacks knowledge about what the federation stands for.
“I was not invited and I don’t know anything about it but I wish the musicians well. I didn’t even vote,” Azawi explained.
Azawi further explained that she never participated in any of the meetings or voting of the leaders.
UMNF announced the election of its inaugural leadership team and the commitment of the Prime Minister of Uganda, Robinah Nabbanja, to support the newly formed Federation.
Interim President Eddy Kenzo, along with Vice Presidents Shebah Karungi, Pallaso, and Juliana Kanyomozi, will lead the UNMF, supported by various committee chairs and regional representatives.
