Carol Nantongo is a Ugandan female music artist and teacher who is very passionate about music and also she is one of the fastest rising music artists in Uganda.
Carol Nantogo was born in the Central region of Uganda to Mr. Mugerwa John who is her father and Rose Namagembe who is her mother.

She spent her childhood at Namugongo and Kyaliwajjala suburbs found in Kampala.
She belongs to the Buganda tribe. According to Carol Nantongo when she was still young, her father was not taking care of them yet he had some money with him.
She said that there reached a time when her and her siblings would spend the night at her Aunt’s place.
Carol Nantongo had her primary school education in Sunset primary school which is found in Kireka and then she left and joined Kireka Grammar Primary school where she completed her primary school education.
After her primary school education, she joined Kira Secondary school where she studied up to S.5 and she could not continue with school due to the lack of school fees.
Carol Nantongo said that she started singing when she was still young and managed to join the church choir at a church in Namugongo where she lived with her parents.
She said that she was introduced to Mesach Semakula by one of her friends with whom they had gone to Batvalley theatre and from that moment, Mesach Semakula welcomed her and she joined the Golden Band where she continues to perform her songs.
Aside from doing music, Carol Nantogo is also a teacher who teaches hairdressing at UYDEL institute that is found in Wandegeya.
Carol Nantongo revealed that during her early years, she spent about 10 years without watching television and also she used to borrow clothes for wearing and dig for people inorder to make some money to find something to eat.
Carol Nantongo’s story is very inspiring and encouraging for youths out there to keep moving forward. It is possible to succeed.
