Democratic Party Vice President and East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) member Hon. Fred Dennis Mukasa Mbidde has been introduced by his lover Fiona in a glamorous ceremony on Wednesday April 26th 2023 in Luweero.
The glamorous Kinyarwanda ceremony went down almost three years down the road ever since Mbidde and Fiona held a Gusaba ceremony, an event where the groom-to-be officially requests a girl to be his bride.
The colorful function was attended by the couple’s close friends and family relatives on an only-invite basis as witnessed by the onlookers.
Marriage celebrations were set to take place in 2020 but Covid-19 happened forcing the pair to push the function ahead till 2023.
As a way of showing respect for his girlfriend’s culture, Mbidde and Fiona were clad Kinyarwanda attire for the ceremony.
It is here that Hon. Mbidde delivered to Fiona’s parents the required bride price before they bestowed them with blessings ahead of their marriage.
Years back, Mukasa Mbidde was married to the late Susan Namaganda, the former Woman MP for Bukomansimbi District, with whom he had three children.
