Singer Eddy Kenzo is more than happy after holding a successful Eddy Kenzo Festival.
The Big Talent CEO broke the record as fans all over the country turned up for his first ever music festival to make it to the success at Kololo airstrip on Saturday.
Fans started lining up as early as noon and by evening hours, Kololo airstrip was already being filled up.
Several Ugandan artists like Bebe Cool, Martha Mukisa, Spice Diana, Geosteady, David Lutalo, Dr. Jose Chameleone, Mathias Walukagga performed for the fans.
Meanwhile, artistes from outside Uganda like Mampi from Zambia, Harmonize from Tanzania, Bahati from Kenya among others also pulled up superb performances for the revellers.
Several top officials also graced Eddy Kenzo Festival including Tamale Mirundi and Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja.
Nabbanja excited fans when she stepped on stage and pulled out killer strokes. It is from here when she extended festival’s closing time from midnight to 3:00 am.
“President Museveni gave me the authority, I direct, let the #EddyKenzoFestival go all the way to 3:00 AM in the morning,” she said.
The festival was sponsored by Guinness Smooth, FlexiPay, Coca-Cola, Movit, Spark Tv, Eddy Kenzo foundation and many more. This festival was the first of it’s kind in Uganda and it is said to be one of the best in Uganda.
