It seems like the year is closing on a negative note on comedian Tobby Kafeero alias Dr. T Amale as he was on Friday evening sent to Luzira prison over an altercation with street evangelist Morris Katende.
The Bukedde FM presenter was sent to Luzira prison following a ruling made by a City Hall court judge.
Dr. T Amale was remanded based on reasons of failure to honor several courts and police summons that were sent to him.
The summons were issued to Dr. T Amale for allegedly beating and biting evangelist Morris Katende along the streets of Bukoto near Radio Simba as he was having a chat with skit comedian Julius Sserwanja alias Ssabazonto.
Dr. T Amale’s defamatory statements he shared across his digital social platforms accusing evangelist Morris Katende of wrongdoing didn’t help him at all as well.
It is reported that Evangelist Katende through his lawyers requested Dr. T Amale to retract and delete the defamatory statements he made against him but the comedian declined to do so thus forcing them to drag him into courts of law.
They explained that whenever they tried to amicably talk with him, he declined claiming that he has bigwigs in the government who can help him and that he is untouchable.
While at the court, Dr. T Amale tried calling some of his bigwigs from the government but none of them responded.
It should be noted that Dr T Amale was one of the people who were much pleased with this Law when it was passed by the Parliament as he hoped that it will get many NUP members arrested and jailed in Luzira.
However, to many people’s surprise, he is going to go down in history as the first victim of the new Computer Misuse Act that he was so much in support of.
It should be noted that Dr. T Amale previously came out and plead with Ssabazonto to grant him a position should one become available in order to elevate his lifestyle.
Dr. T-Amale who rose to fame for imitating political analyst Tamale Mirundi in his comedy skits is now working with Vision Group specifically on Bukedde FM and Bukedde TV.
He previously worked with Radio Simba, Salt FM and BBS Terefayina.
