Capital FM’s DJ Lithium confirmed dead – Here is what caused his Death

Sad news reaching our newsroom confirms the death of Capital FM’s Alex Murimi Nderi, 34, alias DJ Lithium. According to Sabula Ug inside sources, DJ Lithium committed suicide on Wednesday evening after spending his last moments on duty at Capital FM.

His friends found his body in the Information Technology (IT) department and immediately rushed him to Nairobi hospital. Unfortunately, he passed on arrival to the hospital. Well, according to the management at Capital FM radio, Lithium’s family was informed about the emergency and therefore arrived at the hospital shortly after. The medics at the hospital tried their best to rescue his life but unfortunately, they were his last hours on earth.

“Alex was a great addition to the larger Capital FM team, encompassing great talent as a dj, producer and possessed an interesting ‘right wing’ sense of humor,” Danny Munyi, Capital FM’s Programmes Director said.

“To honor him we will celebrate him for the passion he had for this company, his direct breakfast team, his fellow Mixmaster’s and cherish the moments we shared with him. At this difficult time, we kindly ask you to respect the family’s privacy as we all grieve Alex’s loss,” a statement from Capital FM read.

DJ Lithium left a suicide note which revealed how he was struggling with life thus signaling that he was battling depression.
